I came across these bumpers for a super deal. The Lord is good to me. I didn't have a way to get the front home with out putting it on so I had to do a quick and dirty mount. (I will fix the sheet metal later) I believe it is for a fj80 rather than a fzj80 for the fact I had to cut metal for the AC dryer. Does anyone know these bumpers?
Setting Big Dreams In Motion. I'm just having fun with a dream of getting back on the trail from a 18 year leave of absence. This is my jurney, so come along & join me on this great adventure...

The Cruisers 1st family trip...
We took the Cruiser two hrs south to the Pismo/Oceano dunes in California just a quick run in the dunes. I was lazy & left the tires fully aired up. I was pretty impressed. It did very well. I really didn't need the lockers, but it did make it stay on top of the sand a bit better.
My family said they liked the whoop sections the best.

Spare tire mod
So, I did a 3" spare tire mod the other day.
Thanks goes out to all the mud folks that has done it & posted it before me.
I went with 10 4" inch x 1.25 bolts & 3" pipe nipples.
The 3" made it kind of go past level.

Next is a 6" wide wheel & a pizza cutter tire like a Q78 mudder or a 34x9.5 swamper. Any body have those for sell cheap local near 93210 area?

My new tight little ride.... Silver 97 LX450
Just got this last night.
168K miles with electric lockers....
As of 11-27 all I have done to so far is brakes on 4 corners a battery & 2 tanks of gas in it.
My end goal is a very mild build. Something like the pic below.
A week later I was blessed to get an Old Man Emu 2.5" 2851/ 2860 lift & 1.5" wheel spacers.
Here are the pics. It did lift around 2" in front & 3" Rear.

Daily Driver... FJ62 or FZJ80
The hunt is on for the daily driver. Not having a shop & the family car parking the garage is a brutal reality of not being able to have a frame up build. So for now a J4 body build is out of the question. I'm referring to a FJ45LV long wheelbase 4 door wagon. About 500 to 600 made it to the states they are very rare & exspensive.
The next body style was th FJ55 it ran from 1968 to 1979. It's also is a very old wagon that would require a extensive go through.
Starting in 1980 to 1987 was the fj60 and many to this day are running up & down the roads of America.
The fj62 had a short run of three years from 1988 to 1990 these are more refined with a fuel injected 3F engine, electric windows, door locks & automatic transmission you can even find cruise control & 3 point seatbelts in rear on later years 89 to 90.
FJ80 ran from 1990 to 1992 and the FZJ80 93 to 97 it had the bigger 4.5 liter engine rather than the 4.0 liter engine.
So with all that said which is better? It depends on the intended use & personal preference. Below will be a detailed chart of the specs to compare by. Enjoy!
